What happens to our Body when we get Angry?

Anger is a quite complex emotion. For some people, in displeasing situations, anger can completely overpower them before the discretionary parts of their brain can think and make proper judgements.

When we get angry, what happens in terms of brain is that it initiates our fight or flight response. First, a part of the brain called amygdala is activated which signals the release of catecholamines and cortisol. These chemicals increase our heart rate and blood pressure, thus making us feel energetic. They even redirect blood from our intestinal tract to our head, hands and legs, thus preparing us for some physical action. So, this is what happens when we get angry. Note that, frequent anger isn’t good because these chemicals also release fatty acids which can accumulate in our blood vessels, decreasing blood flow, thus increasing the chances of heart attack, stroke, etc.

AMAZING FACTS ABOUT KANGAROOS

Kangaroos only sweat while they are hopping. When they stop exercising, they pant, just like dogs do. A kangaroo mother may have a newborn joey and a much older baby (called a yearling) nursing at the same time. Each one will get milk that is formulated to suit him best nutritionally. Strangely, kangaroos burn less energy the faster they hop… up to 20 miles per hour. A group of kangaroos is called a mob. A male kangaroo is called a buck, a boomer, or an old man. A female kangaroo is called a doe or a flyer. For a long time, people thought the word kangaroo meant "I don't know" in an aboriginal Australian language. Probably, the word comes from gangurru, a native name for one kind of kangaroo.

The Web and the Internet began to really heat up and receive significant media exposure starting around 1994. Initially, the Web started as a great way for academics and researchers to distribute information; but as millions of consumers flocked to the Internet, it began to spawn completely new business models. Three good examples of innovative models include:   • Amazon - Amazon (which opened its doors in July, 1995) houses a database of millions of products that anyone can browse at any time. It would have been impossible to compile a list this large in any medium other than the Web.   • Ebay - Online auctions make it easy and inexpensive for millions of people to buy and sell any imaginable item. It would be impossible to do this at a reasonable cost or in a timely manner with any medium other than the Web.   • Epinions - Thousands of people contribute to a shared library of product reviews. One of the Web's greatest strengths is its worldwide view a...
